The Wolf Among Us Remastered Launch and Discount Issues

PlayStation Store Upgrade Discount Issue

Telltale Games released The Wolf Among Us Remastered for modern platforms on October 29, 2026, but console players quickly encountered pricing errors on the PlayStation Store. Following the launch, players reported issues accessing promised upgrade discounts on the PlayStation Store. Push Square reported that expected upgrade discounts were not available on the PlayStation Store when the PlayStation 5 version launched, leaving buyers without the promotional pricing promised for modern consoles.

Push Square reported that the missing promotional discounts were attributed to a digital storefront error. In response to player reports regarding the storefront error, Telltale Games released statements explaining that Sony is investigating the pricing issue.

TellTale Games has issued short social media statements in response to the problem, explaining that Sony is currently looking into the matter.

What Changed

DualShockers reported that Telltale updated the game to the newest version of its proprietary engine, the Telltale Tool. This engine update modernizes the underlying technology of the release. For narrative background, DualShockers reported that The Wolf Among Us acts as a prequel to the Fables comic book series.

DualShockers also reported that the remaster features five deleted scenes that were removed from the original release, allowing players to experience cut content that was excluded from the original launch. The remaster also includes an optional Noir Mode featuring a black, white, and gray visual style.

Telltale even added a proper black, white, and gray Noir Mode to the remaster that could be switched on or off at any moment
